How Coral Auction works during community launch. Short answers, not blog posts.

Community launch in one line

Coral Auction only provides listing, bidding, and messaging tools. We are not a party to any sale. Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for agreeing payment, packaging, shipping, customs, insurance, animal welfare, and resolving disputes (including DOA). The platform takes no commission and provides no live-arrival guarantee during community launch.

How it works

  1. Browse or list — auctions are a noticeboard for timed listings. Free to list and bid during community launch.
  2. Win or sell — when the clock ends, buyer and seller deal with each other. The platform does not take a fee or process card payment on site.
  3. Pay and ship yourselves — agree method, price extras (postage), packing, and any DOA terms before livestock moves.
  4. Disputes stay between you — Coral Auction is not the seller, shipper, insurer, or refund desk.

Topics

Common questions

How do I place a bid?

Open a live auction, sign in as a buyer, and place a bid higher than the current bid. You get notifications about your bid status.

Do you take payment?

No. During community launch there is no platform fee and no on-site card charge. After you win, arrange payment directly with the seller.

Who ships the coral?

The seller packs and ships (or you agree collection). Shipping cost, courier, and timing are agreed between you. See shipping guidelines.

What if coral arrives dead (DOA)?

Coral Auction does not insure livestock or guarantee live arrival. Agree DOA terms with the other party before posting. Document open-box with photos and message the seller. Details: live arrival and DOA.

Can hobbyists sell?

Yes. Community launch is open to hobbyists and shops. Register as a seller, list for free, and handle payment and shipping with buyers yourself.

Is there buyer protection?

Not a platform money-back scheme. “Protection” here means clear listings, messaging, and your own checks before you pay or bid. Read buying safely.
