Problems, returns, refunds

During community launch there is no platform returns desk. Money and livestock stay between buyer and seller.

You deal directly with the other party. We do not ship, insure, guarantee livestock, or process payment during community launch.

What Coral Auction does not run

  • No automatic refunds from the platform
  • No on-site payment hold or escrow during community launch
  • No “48-hour claim window” enforced by us
  • No final platform ruling on livestock disputes

What usually happens peer-to-peer

  • DOA: photos + message seller per terms you agreed (see live arrival and DOA)
  • Wrong item: sort replacement or refund with the seller
  • Not as described: photos help; outcome is still between you
  • Never shipped: chase the seller; payment tools may help only if you used them

Steps that help

  1. Document the problem (photos, dates, tracking).
  2. Contact the other party through site messaging or the channel you already use.
  3. Propose a clear fix: refund, partial, reship, or walk away next time.
  4. If payment was via a third party (bank, PayPal, etc.), use their dispute options only where their rules allow.

Usually not a “return”

  • • Change of mind after a healthy arrival
  • • Colour shift under your lights
  • • Death after poor acclimation or tank issues
  • • Livestock stress days later in the system

Before you bid or list

Agree money, postage, and DOA terms up front. That is the real “policy” for each private sale. See also buying safely.
